Special Education degree programs

An associate's degree in special education program is a transfer and pre-education track that covers your first two years of general education along with introductory courses on disabilities, inclusion, and supporting diverse learners. It suits community college students who want to work with students who have special needs and want to save on the early portion of a bachelor's. It does not make you a licensed special education teacher, so plan on it as the first stage of a four-year degree that ends in certification.
