Hakia Education is an independently operated, advertising-supported website. Some of the programs featured on this site are from partners who compensate us when a reader takes an action, such as requesting information or enrolling. We think you deserve to know exactly what that does and does not influence.
Rankings are editorial. Always.
Compensation does not influence our program rankings, our scoring methodology, or the order in which programs appear. Rankings are determined solely by our composite Hakia Score, computed from graduation rates, selectivity, cost, and outcomes drawn from federal IPEDS and BLS data. A program cannot pay to rank higher, to be featured, or to be included at all.
Accreditation is verified, not bought
Every institution on this site is accredited by a recognized regional or national accreditor, which is a requirement to appear in the federal IPEDS data we draw from. For programs that lead to a teaching license, we note CAEP or AAQEP accreditation and state program approval, verified against each accreditor’s directory. Partner status never changes any of that.
Affiliate links are clearly contextual
When we link to a program’s website, we may earn a commission if you request information or enroll. This never changes the price you pay. It does help us keep the site free, fast, and light on ads. Where a link is a partner link, it appears in the natural flow of a ranking or guide, alongside the same data we show for every other program, partner or not.
Career and salary content is non-commercial
Our career guides, salary breakdowns, and educational resources are written entirely for informational purposes, with no affiliate relationships attached. The salary numbers come from the BLS; the career context comes from public data and our own analysis.
