Middle School Special Education degree programs

This specialty prepares teachers to work with students who have disabilities in the junior high and middle school years, roughly grades 6 through 8. Coursework combines the academic content of the middle grades with instruction in individualized education programs, adolescent development, behavior support, and adapting lessons across subjects. Graduates typically teach in resource rooms, co-taught general education classes, or self-contained middle school settings, and they help students navigate a stage where academics and social demands both grow quickly. The ranking below covers accredited bachelor's programs along with the tuition and graduation-rate figures reported for each.
