A master's in educational assessment, testing, and measurement trains specialists to design, analyze, and interpret the tests and evaluations that schools, districts, and testing organizations rely on. Students often come from teaching, psychology, or data backgrounds and want to work in psychometrics, assessment development, or district data and accountability offices. This is a technical, research-oriented degree rather than a classroom teaching credential, and it does not by itself lead to a state teaching license.
